Is moissanite a diamond?
No. Moissanite is its own gemstone, a crystal of silicon carbide, and ours is lab-created. It is prized because it looks like a diamond at a glance but sparkles with even more fire, and it is almost as hard: 9.25 on the Mohs scale against diamond's 10.
Which carat size should I choose?
For everyday wear and a delicate look, choose 1 ct (≈ 6.5 mm). 2 ct (≈ 8 mm) gets noticed across the table without shouting. 3 ct (≈ 9 mm) is the statement piece for evenings and occasions. See the carat guide to compare them side by side.
Will the necklace tarnish?
The sterling silver is finished with platinum plating, which keeps it bright white and helps it resist tarnish. To keep it looking new, avoid perfume, chlorine and salt water, and store it dry when you're not wearing it.
How long is the chain?
The chain is 40 cm (about 15.75 in). On most people it sits just below the collarbone, which suits open collars, V-necks and scoop necks alike.
